Use the takeoff breakdown CSV. It needs the columns Takeoff Name, Takeoff Quantity and Takeoff Unit; column order does not matter.

Combine takeoffs with the same name across plan sheets into one line Put names starting with ALT in their own cost group, so alternates stay out of the base bid Write the source plan sheets into each line's description Cost group for everything else

Unit names

JobTread only recognizes units that exist under Settings, Job Costing. Set the right-hand side to match the names used there. Saved in this browser.

Pricing (optional)

Without a rate table, the file carries names, quantities and units, and pricing happens in JobTread. With one, each line becomes a labor row and a materials row with unit costs and cost code filled in. Names with no rate are flagged for pricing by hand.

3Download and import

The download unlocks once a STACK export is loaded.

In JobTread, open the job and go to the Budget tab.
Choose Import and select the downloaded file.
Confirm each column is matched to the right budget field, then finish the import.
Compare the line count and quantities against the table above before building the proposal.
