STACK takeoff to JobTread budget

Turns the takeoff breakdown exported from STACK into a file JobTread's budget import accepts. Everything runs in this browser tab; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

1Add the STACK export

Use the takeoff breakdown CSV. It needs the columns Takeoff Name, Takeoff Quantity and Takeoff Unit; column order does not matter.

2Check the budget lines

Add a STACK export above to see its lines here.

Unit names

JobTread only recognizes units that exist under Settings, Job Costing. Set the right-hand side to match the names used there. Saved in this browser.

Pricing (optional)

Without a rate table, the file carries names, quantities and units, and pricing happens in JobTread. With one, each line becomes a labor row and a materials row with unit costs and cost code filled in. Names with no rate are flagged for pricing by hand.

3Download and import

The download unlocks once a STACK export is loaded.

  1. In JobTread, open the job and go to the Budget tab.
  2. Choose Import and select the downloaded file.
  3. Confirm each column is matched to the right budget field, then finish the import.
  4. Compare the line count and quantities against the table above before building the proposal.
